Following the PM’s announcement and our most recent update we are taking steps to restart and maintain services for our clients. We are instructing cleaners to maintain the highest possible standard of safety and hygiene in customers’ homes. We have created detailed Covid-19 cleaning guidelines for staff and clients which reflect the latest government advice on social distancing.
How can you help during the Covid-19 outbreak?
- Let us know if you or someone in your household is experiencing symptoms
- Stay in another room whilst your cleaner is working and maintain 2 metres distance at all times
- Ensure you have enough anti-bacterial surface cleaners and detergents
- Get in touch if you need advice on cleaning solutions and recommendations, our Customer Service team will be happy to help
- Let us know if you are considered to be a member of a vulnerable group
- Avoid direct contract with your cleaner where possible
What will your cleaner do in your home?
- remove shoes or wear shoe covers
- wash their hands for 20 seconds or more on entry
- where no washing facilities are available, cleaners will use alcohol-based hand sanitiser
- wear PPE – gloves (and masks if requested)
- disinfect all frequently touched surfaces and will pay special attention to door handles, light switches, TV remotes, table tops, kitchen appliances
- wash any cloths, microfibers, mops and other reusable materials on higher temperatures
- open the windows and turn on any fans where possible to provide extra ventilation
- use warm water to dilute cleaning solutions where needed to maximise their antibacterial effects
Our office staff has been mobilised to ensure that you are notified of any changes and updates. As a result of the new announcement, we have re-opened our office and some of our staff is also working from home to ensure continuous and consistent service.
If you wish to restart your regular service we are now offering spring cleans at no extra cost to our domestic customers and additionally, we are working on improved deep cleaning services.

We are doing everything possible to ensure the safety and health of our staff and clients. As the Coronavirus continues to spread across the globe, governments, businesses and individuals are trying to work out what it means for them, how to protect themselves and how they can help.
At Cleaning Express, we are treating the pandemic with utmost seriousness. We have already instructed all our cleaners and office staff to take extra precautions when performing their duties and stay home if they have any symptoms. We’re communicating daily any new developments and are monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of all our clients and staff. We have asked them to wear gloves at all times while cleaning and wear face masks where requested. Our cleaners now pay more attention to the surfaces and ares most frequently touched in clients’ home.
If any of our cleaners have shown any symptoms, we commend them self-isolating and we are working to provide replacement cleaners to all affected clients. All of our staff has been advised to avoid travelling abroad where possible and place themselves in quarantine if they have already made any preplanned trips.
We urge our clients to let us know if they have any suspicion that they or someone in their household might be infected. Please make sure you have availability of good quality cleaning anti-bacterial detergents or bleach (unless you are allergic to it). During the times of the outbreak we recommend more frequent and deeper cleaning of your home.

At Cleaning Express head office, we are proud to say, we all come from different countries and speak multiple languages. We are a multilingual cleaning company. This comes in very useful when interacting with customers that do not speak the language well. Even though a big part of our customers are English speaking. We always try our best to listen and understand the needs of every client. We do not want any language barriers stopping us from bringing you the best possible customer service. At present, our office staff speak Russian, Spanish, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Tajik, Polish and Ukrainian. Cleaning Express has over 500 regular customers, many of which also come from abroad.
As well as multilingual head office staff, the cleaners that we employ are of so many different nationalities. We have cleaners that come mostly from England, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland. Some of our cleaners are from Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Portugal, Spain and other countries. Most of our cleaners speak English well or are in the progress of learning it. We try to make sure that all our cleaners are aware of the importance of being able to communicate with the customers.
There can be an occasion when a customer can be uncomfortable with the cleaner that they might have a difficulty communicating with. We understand that’s it is a possibility. Most important for us is that our customers are completely happy with the assigned cleaners. Being a multilingual cleaning company, we try to be as flexible as possible. We do try to accommodate as many requests as we possibly can. So if you would prefer, for instance, a Russian speaking cleaner, Italian speaking cleaner, or a Spanish speaking cleaner, we’ll do our best to assign one for you.
