As a Living Wage Recognised Service Provider our school cleaners receive the London Living Wage, an independently calculated wage that is higher than the government minimum wage, and based on the cost of living. The rate is £13.85/hour in London. All of our school cleaning staff receive wage above London Living Wage.

What does your insurance policy cover?
Cleaning Express has an extensive public liability insurance policy. This covers all our cleaners during work hours for things like breakages, spillages, theft, injury, and pretty much everything else you might expect insurance to cover. While we’d all love to think accidents will never happen, it’s still good to have insurance just in case!
Are your cleaners DBS checked?
All our cleaners have valid enhanced DBS checks before we allow them to work in schools. We monitor all our DBS checks to ensure they remain valid, and we cover the cost of renewing them. If you’d ever like to see copies, please let us know.
Do our cleaners work at night?
Our cleaners do not work at night. We can clean your premises between 6am and 10pm.
