Initially, we’ll talk over your needs and the size of your space to figure out the cleaning team you’ll need. We aim to send enough cleaners to get the job done quickly and to a high standard. This consultation will also help us to figure out how often we’ll need to visit, which could be daily, weekly, or something else.
There’s also scope for us to visit outside of your opening hours if needed – just let us know. All our cleaners are highly trained and fully vetted, giving you peace of mind. Cleaning Express has an extensive insurance policy in place, too, so that you’re covered in case anything goes wrong. Part of our service involves arranging all sickness and holiday cover for your cleaning team, so you don’t need to worry about missing a visit. Get in touch to discuss things further.
How are the cleaners vetted?
We interview cleaners in-person and check their documents to confirm their identity and their right to work in the UK. We also check their proof of address and references. Each domestic cleaner has to pass our skills test in our office. Cleaners go through induction where they will be cleaning houses with one of our supervisors or in the homes of our management team.
Will I have the same cleaner each time?
We do our best to provide the same house cleaner each time and we will provide a replacement if your regular cleaner is unwell or goes on holiday. We can also replace your cleaner if you notice any deterioration of the quality at any point in time. You might be also wondering if you have any house cleaners near me, but we will do our best to allocate a replacement from any neighbouring areas.
Can I cancel my regular domestic cleaning arrangement?
We will be able to replace the cleaner usually within 1 week if you are not happy with the cleaning service. If for any reason you wish to cancel the cleaning service the notice period is 1 month. Please contact us if you wish to cancel and we will help you with the next steps you need to take to cancel your cleaning service.
Do I need to provide cleaning materials?
For our professional cleaning services in London, we provide cleaning materials for end of tenancy and deep cleans. As our regular domestic cleaners travel by public transport they cannot provide cleaning materials or tools, such as hoover, mop and bucket. Therefore, before your book with our service, we highly recommend you to buy a hoover, mop and bucket so that our cleaners have the right equipment to clean your home.
Is it safe to give my cleaner a key?
Yes this is the case with most cleaning companies in the UK and most of our customers leave keys to their cleaners. All cleaners are vetted by looking at their experience, work history and references and have been tested on other jobs before starting to provide regular domestic cleaning services with us. We hold their documents on file and hold comprehensive £10m insurance if anything in your property is stolen or damaged.
Can I book a trial session?
What is included in the regular domestic cleaning service?
We are happy to tailor the cleaning checklist to your particular instructions. Usually, dusting, hoovering, mopping, cleaning of all the surfaces and emptying rubbish bins are the part of the regular domestic cleaning. If you wish to add ironing, bed changing, laundry or target a specific area please specify. It may sound like a maid service, but let us know what your home needs or if you need an extra hand for your errands.
What does your pricing depend on?
Is it fine if my pets are at home during the clean?
It is completely fine. Please specify what kind of pets you have, so we tailor a pet friendly cleaner to your property.
What if I need go for a holiday or cleaner is away/sick?
If you miss a couple of house cleaning sessions, please kindly let us know beforehand and we’ll inform your cleaner accordingly. No cleaner’s fee is charged. If the cleaner is unable to come, we offer a replacement cleaner. If you don’t wish a replacement cleaner during the cleaner’s holiday/sickness, we can refund you accordingly upon your message.
Can I put my account on hold?
As a cleaning company, we will let you put your account on hold for 1 month or more, please contact us and we can make the necessary adjustments to your account. Please note we can’t guarantee that the same cleaner will be available once you resume regular domestic cleaning service.
Do I have to be at home during cleaning session?
It is optional. You can stay at home or may prefer to come back when cleaning is finished to inspect it. We ask customers not to follow cleaners around and observe social distancing.
Teddington is a London suburb in Richmond upon Thames. Teddington is known to be an affluent area of London and has variously been ranked as the best place to live and the best suburb in London. Richmond upon Thames was named the happiest place to live in Britain, the only time a London borough has won this title.
The area has almost always been affluent, as the wider borough is home to Hampton Court Palace. This proximity to royalty meant a lot of money was circulated in Teddington. Much of the area was built up during the Victorian period, so Teddington is a classic mix of Tudor to Victorian architecture.
Teddington’s money unsurprisingly means it’s home to a lot of quite famous people. Julian Clary, for example, grew up in the area, and Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah has a home there. Historical figures associated with the area include Benny Hill, John Walter (founder of The Times), Dorothy Edwards, and various royalty.
