Cleaning Express offers its staff an in-house training course dedicated to cleaning public spaces, such as gyms. We’re fully versed in sanitation and health & safety compliant cleaning practices, and we only ever use the best products for the job. We help keep your gym clean, so you can focus on helping your clients get fit.

How often should a gym be cleaned?
While the answer will depend on your gym, it’s generally accepted that certain areas should be cleaned daily. For example, equipment should be wiped down after every use but then cleaned properly at the end of the day. Similarly, showers should be cleaned daily.
What does your gym cleaning involve?
Our gym cleaning services cover all aspects of your gym, such as equipment, locker rooms, showers and toilets, communal areas, and class spaces. We can adjust our services for more specific needs, so let us know if you have any requests that aren’t on this list.
Will I have the same cleaner every time?
We aim to supply you with the same cleaner (or cleaners) for every visit, as this ensures consistency and speed. If your regular cleaner is off, we’ll arrange cover from our bank of local cleaners, so you don’t have to worry about missing an appointment from our side.
Do your cleaners work at night?
We can provide our gym cleaning services between 6am and 10pm. While we don’t work overnight, we can certainly fit around your busiest periods by offering our services in the early morning and late evening. Please feel free to discuss this in more detail during your consultation, as we strive to deliver the most flexible service possible.
Do you provide equipment and materials for gym cleaning?
Our cleaning experts will bring their own cleaning products – this isn’t a problem. Where possible, it helps us for you to supply equipment, such as hoovers and mops, as many of our cleaners use public transport to get around. However, if this will be an issue, we can arrange equipment too. For more specialist services, such as carpet cleaning, we don’t expect you to have this equipment available.
Do you provide cleaning materials?
We can bring our own cleaning products and equipment as needed, apart from more specialist equipment. If you need services like carpet cleaning, let us know in advance and we can arrange it. Similarly, if you have legal requirements regarding what products can be used, we can sort this out for you.
How long is your gym cleaning contract?
Can we increase or decrease the hours during the length of the contract?
All amendments can be revised by our team provided that cleaner’s availability allows the change, however we may need to amend the quotation according to the updated number of cleaning hours.
Will the same cleaner attend every time?
For our regular commercial cleaning service we do our best to provide the same cleaner each time and we will provide a replacement if your regular cleaner is unwell or goes on holiday.
What if I want to cancel a session?
Please let us know 24 hours before the session during our business hours and we can cancel the session for you.
Accreditations
We believe that better pay attracts and retains higher-quality gym cleaning staff. As a Living Wage Recognised Service Provider our commercial cleaners receive the London Living Wage, an independently calculated wage that is higher than the government minimum wage, and based on the cost of living. The rate is £14.80/hour in London. All of our gym cleaning staff receive wage above London Living Wage.
