Ana Maria has been my cleaner via Cleaning Express - they also provide excellent replacement cleaners when Ann Marie is away - for over 4 years and she is absolutely wonderful. We used Cleaning Express for a full day deep clean of our house. Our cleaner, Galina, arrived on time and did an incredible job. She focused on all the areas we had requested and even went above and beyond in other areas of the house. She didn't leave until she was happy with it and our kitchen and bathrooms have never looked so clean. We would definitely use this company again and recommend Galina!

My partner and I have been using Cleaning Express for 6 months now. We receive a fortnightly clean of our multi-floor flat and we're so happy with the service they provide.Our regular cleaner, Halyna N, is absolutely brilliant. About Loughton
Loughton is a beautifully historic town. Its history can be traced back to ancient times, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Paleolithic era, making it one of the oldest continuously inhabited areas in the country.
During the Roman period, Loughton was part of the ancient forest known as Epping Forest. The area had scattered settlements during this period, and remained relatively unchanged until the medieval period when the settlement of Loughton began to take shape. The Domesday Book of 1086 mentions the town as ‘Lochintuna,’ indicating its existence and relevance during the Norman conquest of England.
The name “Loughton” is believed to have originated from the Old English words “loht” (meaning a grove) and “tun” (meaning a farm or settlement). This suggests agricultural roots and hints at the proximity to the vast forest.
Throughout the centuries, Loughton continued to be predominantly rural, with farming and agriculture forming the backbone of its economy. In the 19th century, the arrival of the railway facilitated easier access to London, which led to a gradual increase in population and some urban development.
Loughton’s transformation accelerated in the 20th century, particularly after the end of World War II, when urbanisation expanded and suburban housing estates were built to accommodate the growing population. Despite this modernisation, Loughton managed to retain much of its natural beauty and green spaces, thanks to the presence of Epping Forest on its doorstep.
Today, Loughton has evolved into a vibrant town, blending its historic charm with modern amenities. Loughton’s history is a tale of consistency and change. As it has transitioned from its humble rural origins to become a sought-after residential area that cherishes its natural heritage.
