As a Living Wage Recognised Service Provider our cleaners receive the London Living Wage, an independently calculated wage that is higher than the government minimum wage, and based on the cost of living. The rate is £14.80/hour in London. All of our cleaning staff receive wage above London Living Wage.

What does your insurance policy cover?
Cleaning Express has a full public liability insurance policy that covers us for accidents and damage during visits, including spills, breaks, theft, injury, and more. While we hope to never have to use it, we appreciate it gives our clients peace of mind knowing it’s there.
Are your cleaners DBS checked?
All of our cleaners have DBS checks before they start working for us. We appreciate that this is a useful marker of trust, particularly for clients who need non-public-facing areas cleaned. Our HR team monitors all DBS checks to ensure they remain valid, and we cover the cost of renewal. If you’d ever like to see copies, please let us know.
Do our cleaners work at night?
The latest we typically work until is 10pm. However, we’re happy to discuss your needs in more detail if your intended visit time falls outside of our normal working hours.
Do extra sessions come at a higher rate
This depends on the cleaning tasks requested for the extra session. If it implies standard cleaning- we will keep the regular charge; if you need an school deep clean, this will be considered a One Off booking and a separate quote will be provided.
What does venue/event cleaning involve?
The exact cleaning process will vary depending on the venue, but generally it’ll involve hoovering and mopping, cleaning bathrooms and communal areas, emptying bins, and any relevant sanitisation of public and private areas in the building. If you have any specific jobs or needs, let us know during our site visit.
Do you offer one-off visits and deep cleans?
Will the same cleaner come every time?
For larger spaces, we usually send a team of cleaners, while smaller spaces may only have one. Either way, you’ll always have at least one of the same cleaner (excluding during sickness and holiday periods for smaller spaces). We do our best to always send the same cleaners, for efficiency and trust more than anything else.
What if I want to cancel a session?
You’re welcome to cancel a session, whether regular or one-off. We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for us to cancel the session without charge. If you have any questions or would like more information, please reach out.
How often are your regular cleans?
We can develop a schedule that suits your needs for regular venue cleaning. This might be a few times a week, once a week, or even daily. It ultimately depends on the level of footfall you expect outside of your events. Either way, we can discuss this in more depth with you once we understand your needs.
